Approach

GSM combines proven teaching methods and curricula from Germany and the United States, crafting a unique, child-centered curriculum that represents German and New York State Department of Education standards.

Benefits of a Bilingual Education

Bilingual education is the academic model of the future. Brain scans have shown that those who are bilingual have denser gray matter than their monolingual counterparts. Students starting GSM in Kindergarten without prior knowledge of German gain command of the language in a few months. A bilingual program is academically challenging by nature and fosters a culture of joyful learning.

GSM Mission

GSM is a bilingual school for a multicultural world.

We promote a child-centered and international curriculum which fosters a joyful learning environment and shapes our learners to be knowledgeable, caring, and responsible global citizens.

GSM cultivates a culture of empathy and open-mindedness.

We promote cultural diversity, critical thinking, and a safe learning community where students are encouraged to take mindful actions.

GSM fosters each learner’s natural curiosity through an inquiry approach.

We nurture learners who are curious about the world around them, and are prepared to be thoughtful, compassionate, and reflective leaders.
